Q: What types of events does Sigma Rho Lambda do?
A: We have a wide variety of social, sisterhood, and community
service events throughout each semester. The social events include
date nights, cookouts, formal, and mixers. The sisterhood events
include sisterhood dinners, ropes courses, Big/Little sister dinners,
and making crafts. Service events are constantly changing, and in the
past have included cooking for the Chabad house's shabbat, a pizza
party fundraiser, and more.

Q: How much does joining Sigma Rho Lambda cost?
A: For the 2007-2008 school year, dues for a new member will be $85
for her first semester and dues for a returning member will be $70
per semester. Dues go towards paying for the many of the events that
we do throughout the semester, and dues for Panhellenic Council.
There may be some events that have additional costs, such as room
rentals or catering, that sisters will pay for if they attend. There
are also various events sisters can buy t-shirts for, which can range
from about $10-$15 each.

Q: How do the sisters of Sigma Rho Lambda stay safe as members of
the Greek community?
A: As an associate member of the Panhellenic Council, Sigma Rho
Lambda follows strict rules set up by the Council itself as well as
by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. For more information,

Q: How does participation in Sigma Rho Lambda influence academic performance?
A: Sisters of Sigma Rho Lambda remain very focused on schoolwork. While events during the semester provide a fun break from studying, sisters often form study groups, use each other as resources for information and help, and provide each other with support in academic endeavors. In fact, Sigma Rho Lambda has the highest average GPA among Pan-Hellenic sororities.
